Three Sisters #3: Fugue
The fourth of five sections in Suite No. 1 from Three Sisters. In the opera this is an ensemble scene involving the entire cast and forms the climax of Act One. Teasing, in the form of an old superstition begins at this birthday celebration:
"When 13 people sit at the table, one of them is in love. Is it you, Andre? Is it you, Natasha?"
